Question UV editor

Hi, when I export an image of the layout to use in photoshop it always exports the grid.
How can I export without the grid.
Even if I disable the grid in UV editor it still exports with the grid.

Thanks.

@Edwin_Akers

You mean you are using “ViewCaptureToFile” to export the current view?
There should be an option to switch off grid.

No. Save to bitmap through the UV editor.

Here is a picture.

Hi @Edwin_Akers ,

In the Display panel, when the UVeditor has focus, disable Grid display…

Ah, must click the background in the UV editor to make it the current viewport.
Thanks that helps.

Thanks Brian.

Ok, still having some problems.
tex-1 is transparency set to 0 and grid not there when I save to bitmap through the UV editor.
tex-2 is what I get when I run ScreenCapturetoclipboard from the command prompt not
1024X1024 size but no grid.
tex-3 is transparency set to 100 and grid is there when I save to bitmap through the UV editor.
White background.
Thanks

Hi @Edwin_Akers ,

Can you explain more about your new problem? I’m not certain which of the results you don’t want or what you expected. Essentially, what is the new problem you’re trying to solve?

Basically tex-3 picture has the grid visible when I save to bitmap through the UV editor
and the display panel is set to UV editor with the grid ticked off. Do not want the grid to show.

@Edwin_Akers Thanks for explaining more, I think I missed this when making my own file to test yesterday with a grid texture as the lines were faint. I’ve filed this bug as https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-85274

In the meantime, you’ll have to use a screen capture I think to get around it.

Thank you.
