Problem with modifying curved polysurface

Hello,

I have a problem with modifying curved side of this object. I need it to “pull out” the surface with large cut out, make part thicker in this section. I thought that I will be able to do it by turning on “SolidPtOn”, but it only turned on points where corners and straight lines are located. I tried to rebuild surface to get more control points, but it didn’t helped.
Any ideas?

SolidPtOn is only for extremely simple stuff.

That would require Extracting the surfaces you want to modify and all surrounding surfaces, then re-trimming/extending them to join back up.
