I have an issue with the display of the hatch I use for insulation. In the preview, it appears at the correct scale, but when I create it in the 3D environment, the hatch scale increases and therefore disappears. This happens with the hatch that I specifically added to Rhino (with VisualARQ 2 in Rhino 7, the same hatch worked correctly).
Hi @Alessandro_Barbisan there is something wrong with this hatch pattern. When it goes beyond 0.01 scale, it’s not generated properly. When the scale is 0.001 there is nothing generated at all I think. You can test this on a Rhino Hatch object, even if VisualARQ is disabled.
I’ve tested this hatch on other cad program and everything works properly, is a rhino8 problem? In rhino7 the same hatch works properly. Anyway, I noticed that in the new features of VisualARQ 3, you should be adding new hatch patterns. In fact, the hatch we are discussing is included.
I’ve seen this happen when the hatch pattern has lots of lines and the hatch extent is very large. Rhino seems to have a limit to how many lines it will draw for a single hatch. You could try splitting the hatch up (e.g. a large 100x100 square hatch area split into one hundred separate 10x10 square hatches) to recover the full pattern.
We are pending to include these set of hatch patterns in VisualARQ templates, but we want to make sure they work fine in all documents.

It has a higher scale than yours, so if you use it on the wall layer, with a scale of 0.1 it should look like expected:
