Printing using raster output shows only black

Here is an image of the problem. I found one other thread with the same problem, here : Raster Output print not working .

This happens with all models opened on my computer, from all view ports.

It used to work, I don´t recall anything specific that made it stop working. It has been like this for some 2 weeks now, the same before and after the newest windows update (updated today) as well as the newest Rhino 6 update (also updated today). The vector printing seems to work.

When I first noticed the problem I updated the NVIDEA driver. It did not fix the problem.

Here is the information from the systeminfo :

try updating your INTEL video driver, is pretty old

I suspect that’s it.
Determine the specific Intel chip.
Download and install the latest driver from Intel:

I suspect it may be the newest driver. When I updated the NVIDEA driver I searched for a newer version for the Intel one as well. I’m fairly new to all of this so I admit I might not have seen what I was supposed to be looking for.

The only name I can find is Intel ® HD Graphics. The version I am currently using is 9.17.10.4459 . I don’t know if it matters or not but the processor is Intel ® Core™ i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10Ghz 3.10 Ghz.

I tried using the automatically update drivers function on the Intel page and the Lenovo page.

Run the Windows Device Manager, expand the Display adapters section, select and right click on the Intel, choose Properties.
That should have the specific details.

Or should I check something specific within the detail section?

I can’t find any drivers for the embedded graphics in the i5 chip.
Is this a very old computer?
It may not work for Rhino V6.

The oldest chip we even attempt to support (and not very well), is the HD 4000 (i7), or HD 2500 (i5).
I think the chip integrated in your i5 is 2000.

It’s time to replace that computer if you want to run V6.

It’s definitely not new. It runs Rhino 6 fine (I have been using it for the past year), except for this recent hiccup. I guess its as good of an excuse as any to get a new computer.

Thank you for the help.

check if the notification pannel of rhino 6 leads you to the newest driver

The notification panel within rhino 6 only has one item with the date of when the license was obtained.

if you use the Dxdiag tool in windows (Search dxdiag in the task bar). it will show you the complete name of the drivers :
