Printing from arctic viewport issue

Morning guys, I’m having an issue with printing construction layouts with multiple viewports using the Arctic scheme. My construction layouts are usually multiple pages and at least half the viewports are getting this strange graphic issue. this only occurs when printing to my local printer or printing to pdf. I can save the view as a jpeg just fine.
This is a modified version of the Arctic viewport but the same thing occurs with the default arctic viewport. I’ve tried both print to pdf drivers I have. The Microsoft version and the rhino print to pdf both with the same results.
any insight to fix this issue? my co worker beside me has the exact same configuration I have and has no issues. go figure. Hardware/software Intel i5 7600k 64gb ram Quadro p4000 running windows 10 with rhino 6.
attached is an image showing the issue.

Hi @pixmith67,

Could you paste the text from Help -> System Information...?

Thanks,

  1. Could you show me a screen shot of the Print dialog?
  2. If you could send me the model I could test it here on my machine, too: https://www.rhino3d.com/upload?to=david.eranen@mcneel.com
  3. We recently made fixes to arctic printing - if you’d like to try a beta version of Rhino SR 16 you can download it from here: http://files.mcneel.com/dujour/exe/20190614/rhino_en-us_6.16.19165.02081.exe

I cant send this model. its a Government project.
I’m pretty sure it wont repeat on your machine as it doesn’t recreate on my co-workers machine when he opens my Files.
here is the print dialog.

I’ll download the latest release and see if anything changes.

@pixmith67,

If you still can’t get it to work with the SR16 BETA version, consider doing the following:

  1. Exit Rhino.
  2. Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros
  3. Rename the 6.0 folder to 6.0.backup
  4. Now start Rhino and try to print.

If this doesn’t work and you want your Rhino settings back, you can delete your newly created 6.0 folder and rename 6.0.backup back to 6.0 and start Rhino again.

ok I’m installing the latest SR now.
will post results once complete.

So I was able to solve it by exporting my coworkers viewport settings from his computer and importing them to mine. I’m not sure what the difference between his and mine were but his settings do not cause the graphic artifacts.
thanks for the assistance.

Well I thought it was resolved but the issue returned.
ill try the latest beta and see if its any better.
