Printing, Fit to paper option?

Hi,

i would like to test print multiple A1 layouts on A3 paper, but i don’t seem to find a “Fit to paper” option in the print setup.

If i set the scale to 2:1 the print area doesn’t fit the papir, it centers on the bottom left corner.

Is there a trick for this without making new layouts for everything?

Thanks

You didn’t mention which version of Rhino you are using. Please always provide the output of the Rhino SystemInfo command when reporting an issue.

You should be able to use the Scaled to Fit option in the View and Output Scale.
I see that the preview is wrong and that it reports 100% as the scale, but the resulting PDF seems right.

Thanks for replaying, i’m on the newest version of rhino 8 (Rhino 8 SR12 2024-10-8)

Scale to Fit doesn’t seem to work, i get just the lower left quarter of the page.

Yes, that doesn’t seem to be working consistently…

For now, I’m afraid you’ll have to print to the layout page size and then print to A3 from the PDF reader that you are using.

Thanks!

There seems to be quite a few posts about various printer issues, and for some reason after reading your response to this one it popped into my head that maybe it would be a useful idea to include in the systeminfo report the current printer attached to the user’s computer and it’s driver information? just a thought.
