Print to pdf vector graphic with shadings included

Hello all,

I want to print my work to pdf and have the exported result be in vector format. When I choose the vector option, the shadings disappear. Is there a way to produce vector pdf with shadings? It is already done in, for example, matlab with the function exportgraphics

Thank you very much, I tried it and was excited, but when I saw the pdf result, it is actually raster! not vector, when zoomed it gets pixelated. Can you confirm my observation?

No you can’t render out a vector image, I don’t think there’s any connection between Rhino’s rendering and anything Matlab does.
