Print Layout to RhinoPDF crashes Rhino

Running Windows 10 on an iMac via MacOS 11 and Bootcamp. Whenever I try to print a Layout to RhinoPDF, I get the output sought but Rhino crashes. This seems to be a problem with a single Rhino model, which I’ve attached for your viewing pleasure and crack analysis!

Sxx_GirderReinforcementPlans_r1.3dm (2.5 MB)

Any explanation for the weird behavior?

I can’t find anything wrong with the file and I can not duplicate the crash.
I printed Vector and Raster using RhinoPDF from both Layouts in Rhino V7

Maybe run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results.
Hopefully something will show up.

Thanks for looking into this, John. I checked every object in the model and all came up valid. But the problem still happens with the model I uploaded for both its layouts, but not with layouts in other Rhino files. When I print to RhinoPDF, Rhino slams shut without a crash dump.

The day before I noticed the print to RhinoPDF problem, the file would crash and I’d see the sad Rhino with the deflated beach ball. I believe I sent a few of those reports. In most cases, it crashed while I was trying to select a line or a line control point.

I still have two of the crash dumps, but they appear to be copies of the model file that crashed. I’ll upload them if you want to see them.

Hi -

Please update the drivers for your GPU.
-wim

Thanks for pointing that out. I now have updated AMD drivers for Windows on Bootcamp per Apple’s website:

SystemInfo now shows:

Standard graphics configuration.
Primary display and OpenGL: AMD RADEON R9 M395X (AMD) Memory: 4GB, Driver date: 9-10-2020 (M-D-Y). OpenGL Ver: 4.6.13596 Compatibility Profile Context 20.10.36.01 27.20.11036.1002
> Accelerated graphics device with 8 adapter port(s)
- Windows Main Display attached to adapter port #0

Unfortunately, the problem persists. When I try to print a layout to RhinoPDF, Rhino crashes but I get the desired print. It only happens with this particular model file.

iMac 27-inch 5K (Late 2015) running Windows 10 via Bootcamp. Another file now crashes every time that I try to print a layout to PDF. Yes, I’ve updated my video drivers, and no, it didn’t make a difference. This is the file:

S04_FoundationPlan-1.3dm (1.1 MB)

There’s also a associated “S04_FoundationPlan-1.3dm.rhl file,” but I don’t know what it is and I can’t upload it here.

Any idea what it going wrong?

I get the same problem unfortunately :frowning:
