I am using Plan Cut Elevation: Middle for one of my doors, but it is cutting it in the middle for every level so that it shows up on my second floor plan as well, even though it is only on the first floor, am I missing something on how this function works?

Do you mean that when the door has a Plan Cut Elevation different than By Level it is visible from above levels when cut plane is enabled?
Yes, this looks like a bug. We will let you know when it is fixed.
