Stair overhead projection not showing correctly on plan view if Cut Plane Elevation is not by Level. Left is where i set my custom Cut Plane Elevation, right is where the Cut Plane Elevation is set by level. The red is overhead projection.
Hi Rui,
The plan view might not be showing correctly because the model wasn’t updated. Try using the command:vaUpdate > Select Model
to refresh the view in model space.
About the text size (like the stair numbers), it’s fixed and controlled by the setting: Annotation Style > Model Space Scale
You can change the value there to adjust the text size.
Hi Ray,
I’ve tested your file and tried different custom Cut Plane Elevation heights.
On my end, the stair’s overhead projection seems to display correctly in plan view. I’m using the latest released version of VisualARQ 3.4.
Which version are you using?
I’ve attached a GIF showing how I set it up — hope it helps!
Let me know if you’re still experiencing the issue.
However, I am referring to the changing Plan View properties. i have test out a few scenarios, find out more specific bugs (?):
when you change the Cut Plane Elevation Properties within the Plan View Properties,
a. if the input is higher than the Level Cut Plane, it will still show the overhead projection, but
b. if you insert a lower value than the Level’s Cut Plane Elevation, it will not show the overhead projection.
Thanks a lot, Ray!
Your detailed demo was really helpful. I tested your file using the same steps and ran into the same issue. I’ll report it to the development team. I’ll keep you posted with any news about a fix for this problem.
