Hello,
I have to plan a 2D elevation with the true dimension of each peace of this curved geometry to send it to a laser machine company.
Does anyone knows how to do this in rhino?
Thanks a lot.

Hello - if that is a slice of a cone, UnrollSrf
should help - if it is curved in the vertical direction as well as around, Squish
should help.
Any luck?

Hi Pascal,
It is a slice of a sphere.
Both command produce planified polysurfaces, which one has the true dimensions?
Thank you.
Hello - for a thin slice of a sphere, it looks like Smash
does a good job of keeping the edge lengths consistent - this pretty much ignores the vertical curvature, the result is more like what you’d get from a cone, if I am thinking clearly.

I think that’s about it.
Thank you so much.
