Pika! Pika! Pixel
Inside the initial link in the Italian forum discussion, I left a script based on circles with a video, but I think it’s possible to optimize it to do what you showed in the picture.
@RiccardoMajewski helped me; he would definitely know how to optimize the script to recreate this kind of pixel art paintings.
@CADARTZ I made a checkerboard frame like in the photo you showed me, I will print it in 3D and color it to make a picture for my home, in the meantime I’ll share the script
Pixels heights from images_quadro x stampa (0).gh (2.5 MB)
starting with this if anyone has any better tutorial please link
we are two beginners, don’t worry! I try to learn a little from other people’s scripts and tutorials… I’m absolutely not a Grasshopper expert, half the time I’m surprised when a script works
i like the interface so far reminds me of material graph editors in keyshot/maya
this may be useful for you to know, I started from here for the interface
@CADARTZ in the Italian forum, Riccardo gave me some advice to improve the boolean difference, I share the updated script.
When I 3D print the square with the tubes, of course, their height will be smaller because it’s not nice to have them visible.
Pixels heights from images_quadro x stampa (0).gh (2.5 MB)
Pixels heights from images_quadro x stampa (0).3dm (4.3 MB)
added offsets between one tile and another for printing tolerance
Thank you will try it out soon
finished print, now I have to color them by hand, but I was already thinking of doing a bigger job of doing a UV print, I already know how to set everything up because I have already used these industrial UV printers
As a test, let’s say it’s fine; the tolerance with the printer and the thickness of the color need to be optimized, but for now, it’s more than fine.
man i need to buy a printer so bad
here, you will find an example of a slightly larger project that I did with the printer (elegoo)
there are always the same brand at much lower prices
elegoo is resin printer right? i like the print resolution on them, that neptune 4 max looks nice ive been looking at bamboo A1 mini to
I have a filament printer, but there are also resin printers. Oh yes, Bamboo brand printers are excellent choices anyway.
i need a garage man living in apartment sucks id fill it with machines and 3d printer hobby heaven
