Pictureframe issues

Hi,
I’ve been having a strange issue with pictureframes pretty much since v6 started. I’m not sure if this has been brought up already.

I put a good number of picture frames on my layouts and pretty consistently their display gets messed up, either turning into stretched images or mirroring half the image across the frame at a 45degree angle, like where the edge of a mesh face would be.

If I move the faces they usually fix themselves after a few tries, but it can turn into a bit of a wack a mole game as this will sometimes break another one.

The messed up images also print that way so its not just a display issue for me.

Here’s a quick video to show what im talking about

Thanks!

Heres my system info

Hello - just to eliminate plug-ins as being behind this, can you please go into Options> Plug-ins and disable

Octane, Badger, and Bongo

and then restart Rhino - any different?

-Pascal

Hi Pascal!

I turned those off, restarted and the problem still persists.

Thanks!

OK, thanks for checking - the clip looks like it shows a layout - if so, does the same bad thing happen in model space?

-Pascal

never tried before, but yes I pasted the same objects into model space and have the same issues

Hello- can you PM me or send to tech@mcneel.com a file with the images in place? I don’t need the whole file if the problem occurs with just the pictures. Make sure when saving, to include textures

image

thanks,

-Pascal

looks like it does not happen in a small file with just the pictures in place. I cant send you this file, but I’ll work on finding something that’s not confidential and has the issue and get that to you soon.

Thanks!

OK - tech@mcneel.com is not public, btw, if that eases any anxiety about confidentiality. For large files use’

www.rhino3d.com/upload to my attention…

-Pascal

sounds good, thanks!
