PBR problems

Hi @nathanletwory
I’m seeing some problems with PBR materials in R7. I’m using this PBR and everything looks fine in rendered mode. As soon as I switch to raytraced, the material goes black and the displacement disappears. If I turn off the bump/normal map, I get the diffuse channel back, but still no displacement. Is there a bug or…? (Systeminfo below)

TIA, Jakob

Hi Jakob -

Yes - it’s fixed for next week’s release candidate.

I had hoped the fix would have made it in this weeks SRC, but alas it did not.

Hi @nathanletwory
I’m seeing this again in the latest RC - PBR materials turn black if bump/normal is on. Sysinfo below.

Hi Jakob - I am not seeing that here in our latest at least in a quick basic test. Does it show black without the plug-ins loading? (Stereo, Substance, Twinmotion, Elefront, Denoiser)

-Pascal

@Normand does it matter on what type of object the material with normal map is applied? Extrusion, SubD, Mesh, Surface/Polysurface…

Anyway, this is what I get here:

Hi @nathanletwory and @pascal
Updating to latest Quadro driver solved it - sorry for the inconvenience!
-Jakob

Phew, glad it worked out.
