Patent drawing

Hi,

I’ve been using the default rhino patent drawing view mode and I’ve run into some issues with the shadows. They are bleeding over into areas where there wouldn’t be shading. Any suggestions what settings to mess with to fix this?

Hi - getting the shadows right in the patent display mode can be rather tricky and often is file-specific.
Could you post your 3dm model and possibly also your version of the display mode?
In a simple test here, I didn’t get the effects that you are seeing…

Here’s the model. The display mode is just the one of the rhino site.

Hello - I think turning off the skylight may get you more what you want.

That did it.

The bleed-through is affected by the “Camera Based Clipping Bubble” setting. Values of None, or large values gave clean images. The lowest 5 non-None tick marks gave various amounts of bleed through on my drawing.
