Hi I have this model that I am looking to patch two holes, looking for the best approach to do this. I have tried planar surface cap and patch and can’t seem to get either to work.
Thank you

Hi, have you tried Untrim command? There is ReplaceEdge also.—-Mark
looks like maybe you’re trying to “plug” the parts near the feet?
definitely sounds like maybe the first thing to try idk.
the whole ‘trim’ vs ‘untrim’ aspect of nurbs world in Rhino land is like super weird in the first few years of learning, I remember.
the other CAD’s hide that completely. they focus on add and subtract and conceal what’s going on. the whole silly parasolid kernel thing an all.
do you want these open though for the legos? idk…
maybe like a stepped pocket or something…
Im trying to plug the top holes so the legs are smooth, I just tried the trim command and it made the surface pretty weird.
you are probably talking about Untrim. yes that will create surface till the control points still available if not shrinked.
untriming all envolved surface will look like that
then just select the surrounding surfaces as cutters and trim once more you might also have to do that inside or remove all the surfaces inside if you want it solid. since we dont know what your further steps are there is not enough information on how to proceed further.
