Just testing out some of the new UI/Toolbar stuff, haven’t had much time previously.
I set up an out-of-the-box default UI scheme. I then narrowed the LH side toolbar to 2 rows. That makes the Osnap panel just icons - OK, but they’re very fuzzy and low contrast - IMO very hard to read.
Pulling out the toolbar width a bit allows the text to be shown, and those are nice, bold and contrasty:
Personally I would like to option to display just the text and not the icons, that would allow me to keep the compact two column arrangement and still have something clean and clear.
In my custom workspace I probably will have that one docked next to the command line, but again, I could do without the icons on both the Osnaps as well as the Selection Filter…
Perhaps as with normal toolbar buttons, options for icon-only, text-only and icon+text…
Edit: additional observations
I just tested the Shift+ and Ctrl+ options with Osnaps. What I see is that in the default UI version above with the text visible, hovering over the docked Osnap panel with Shift or Ctrl pressed shows me only icons…
And in my custom setup with the panel docked next to the command line, it’s worse, the sizes end up bigger, resulting in not all the buttons being shown, but instead the dreaded >>
