Options Join, Weld in SubD tools?

i just noticed that there is quite some inconsistency among the SubD tools in regards of options they have. Loft for instance has the option join, but SubDSweep 1 and 2 not. might make sense to have this option embedded in all relevant tools?

Also a weld vertices option would be needed to complete fill shapes like these faster. here one naturally would have to join and weld after the job each time so why not making that easier.
