I just did the update for R8 and opened a drawing from a few months before only to find the object transparent. Is this another problem with Metal? The white parts are the true form which was OK in the previous version. The seemingly transparent or dark colored objects appeared when I opened the drawing after the update. I tried copying the white objects and they become as you see a dark transparent version of the white object. Several months ago I had a problem that I showed Brian James where there were ghost objects in places that were different from the true place of the objects, it was a problem with Metal and I donāt remember the number he gave it. I hope this will be an easier solution as the previous one took several weeks to solve so working on the drawing in R8 was impossible.

Is it a block you mirrored?
Hi,
They are indeed blocks. I deleted the ones that were not normal and made a copy of the good one but it automatically became a defective object. What I did not say was that the object that you see in my example is not the only one that is affected by this problem, there are others (not the same form) throughout the drawing. I must emphasize that this happened after the update I installed yesterday.
Hi Joe -
Can you please provide a 3dm file that shows that behavior and the output of the Rhino SystemInfo
command?

Hi Wim,
Do you want the entire drawing? If so I will need you upload link because the drawing is pretty big.

Hi Joe -
Preferably just a single object as long as that still shows the issue on your system.
-wim
Sorry but How do I send you just one part of a complex drawing? I assume you want an active 3D object and not a screen shot?
Hi -
Select an object and run Export
.
-wim
Thanks.
