The documentation makes it sound that Jagged seams should rather be deselected when exporting, yet renderings don’t show defects when Jagged seams is selected. The difference appears more prominent, when normal maps and displacement maps are used. So, what is the “Rhino way” to think about that?
This here makes it sound as if Jagged seams should be deselected, but why does that look worse?
In an old GH thread, Daniel piker says this: “Try setting jagged seams to true, and maximum edge length to 2. Then triangulate it. This way it is easier to make sure the mesh is all joined properly along the seams.”
