I can’t see how to make the linetype of the dimension dashed by default instead of by layer. I don’t want a continuous dimension line and I don’t want to have to change it in the object settings for every dimension I make, in every file. How do I set my dimension line to be dashed by default?
I’m on the latest version, Rhino 8.
Dimension styles are are stored in the template files. To have a custom “default” dimension style, you need to use a custom template. Open a new file with your favorite template, modify the dimension style(s) as needed, then save it as a template again. Set Rhino to start with this template. Done.
Got it, thank you. But a dashed line isnt an option in the dimension style tab though.
