No lighting

In Rhino 5 I had some display modes set up in which the lighting method is ‘No lighting’ and the objects are shaded with the rendering material. I imported those modes to Rhino 6, but now every object is solid black. When I change the lighting method into something else the colors return. I still have Rhino 5 running where the display modes work just fine.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Could this be hardware related?

Hi Kevin - I just made one of these (modes) in V5 and it seems to work the same way in V6, here - objects show in flat rendering material color with no shading - that is what you expect, right?

Hi Pascal,

Your display mode works as it should and as I want it to be. I made a similar one in Rhino 6 which worked as well.

These are the ones that give me issues:

Hi Kevin - tha driver is getting pretty old - I don’t know if that is what matters here but I’d update from the nVidia website.
@Kevin_van_der_Weijde - your material preview mode works here (not black) if I set the switch for ‘Advanced GPU lighting’

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Updated the driver, but that did not resolve the issue. Switching on ‘Use advanced GPU lighting’ did work.

Thanks for your help!
