I often use gumball to move objects a set distance while I’m working on them - for example right now I’m setting up a laser cut topography file and have each layer spaced 18" apart so I can just tap the gumball button and move to the next layer after I’ve trimmed out a portion I don’t need.
I think it would be really useful to be able to (for example) hit ctrl and have the value go negative, the same way as hitting alt while using gumball copies the object.
This way if I’m moving objects 18" up and realize I need to move them down, rather than typing in -18" and then deleting the negative when I have to go positive again, I could just hold down ctrl and tap the gumball arrow with 18" loaded in and it would move in the negative direction.
