Needed To Make My Whole Guest House Smaller

Hi,

My class wants me to model a small, 2 story guest house, but my guest house is 35’ x 54’. I wanted to scale the size of my whole house to a smaller size like 20’ x 25’. I already created 2 floors, the walls, and staircase so far. Is there a way I can decrease the scale of my guest house without making any mistakes or problems occur with my model’s size?

Thank you,
Damon.

use scale? note that will simply scale the entire house and all the walls in proportion with it. if that is not what you want i am afraid there is no solution to your issue without remodelling it, at least not for the unexperienced, you have solid tools that can help you achieve it but first we should know what you actually want to scale.

using grasshopper or other plugins can help you there for future tasks as well if you have to keep wall thickness etc but want to move/scale the ground plane

No, because of how geometry works. You can use ScaleNU but the wall thickness will scale and not be correct, hall way widths and door openings will also scale and be too narrow, stairways will become too steep, etc.

A revised or new concept which works with the smaller size is needed.
