DEAR ALL
i have just started with grasshopper,
i wanna make several rectangle what have differen size from list (i take it from excel), but now all of them is override and same possition,
now i wanna separation each of all to another possition as a list of all rectangle
can everyone help me please?
thank you so much
You can create all your planes where your 0,0 will be for each rectangle and plug that into the planes input.
So if i understand you correct.
You want to avoid the rectangles overlapping, like the attached image.
If this is the case, then i will take the liberty to explain why you didn’t achieve your desired result.
While you manage to create a set of rectangles with 4 values of X and 1 value of Y (4 rectangles in total), they all relate to the same plane and plane origin, meaning that all the rectangles are being placed to the same plane and origin, thus not creating any between them.
The solution i made, just creates the planes needed with control of the spacing between the planes and in other words, the spacing between the rectangles.
Now if you would like the rectangles to spreadout along the X-axis instead of the Z-axis, the logic is the same.
Hope this helps you out.
