Neat loft?

Hi, I’m trying to create quite a complex repeating form for a cylindrical tower. I have two quite complex curves (highlighted in green) and I want to make a surface between them. When I use the Loft command the end result seems to be folding in on itself in a few areas, rather than giving a nice smooth surface.

I think this a Rhino / loft issue rather than Grasshopper. How can I get a neat result here? Can Rhino happily loft between two curves? Is it likely to be some sort of curve direction issue? Or do some lofts simply look ugly or fail?

for sure Rhino and GH are able to handle Lofts, but if you want good results you need to play by the rules of the game, like both curves having the very same amount of points…

Thanks, the number of points is a good tip - I’ll check that. Code attached - the loft in question is grouped in the red group. I also tried breaking it up into separate pieces, which is the yellow group following that. Sorry for the scrappy nature of it!

Alternatively, would there be a better command to generate a surface using those curves, instead of Loft?

I think I’ve discovered the problem. The two curves seem to have their first point at slightly offset locations, meaning each part of the loft is being stretched sideways.

What’s the best way to shift the point numbering in the curve? Do I need to take closer look at stuff earlier on to get them in the right order? Or can I reassign / shift point order once the curve is created?
