As it has already been asked in the past, a huge and great improvement would be the ability to affect named position or snapshot to specific detail viewport in order to be able to show different state, configuration of a model in the same layout… for V7??

Hello mcneel team, I post to up this post because I would like to know if named position inside a specific viewport could be done in v9?…could be a very good tool for instructions and mounting process of products…actually by trick is a copy block of every thing with new positions of block to activate the good block in the good view…thanks for your help and knowledge

Sad news, indeed. When I first learned that named positions were global across all viewports, I was very surprised. Seems like one of primary use cases of this functionality would be for illustration/documentation purposes. Maybe someday…
