My Graphics Device isn't being used?

I having difficulties with my graphics card being used by Rhino. My device is not rendering models correctly and it says my NVIDIA RTX A4500 GPU is not being used, which I think is the problem but no matter what I try I can’t seem to get it to work. I have checked for updates, installed, and uninstalled, and been trying to read on how to fix this issue, any suggestions??

This is my system information.

Hi Paige - I think the ting to do here is a full clean install of the GPU drivers. When you install, make sure you use the clean install option.

hi! thank you for the suggestion i ran a full clean install again but nothing changed.

@jeff -Hi Jeff - do you have an idea?

-Pascal

See if this procedure helps:

Any luck?

No… I followed those steps and nothing has changed

I suspect y0our computer was imaged incorrectly by the maker.
My best recommendation is to contact them about getting the hardware and drivers they installed working correctly. This might involve deleting the Nvidia display adapter in Device manager, and letting Windows discover it again.
I wold not do this before contacting the laptop maker.

Rhino 8 supports the RTX A4500. I’ll have to build a file specifically for this device. I’ll look into it right now.

@Paige1 can you please run the Rhino command RhinoCycles_ShowDeviceCapabilities? Once run press F2, then copy and paste the output of that command here please. As far as I can tell it should work already. At least my RTX 4000 FSS Ada gen which is newer than your GPU works with Rhino 7.

When you say “it says my NVIDIA RTX A4500 GPU is not being used” where exactly do you see this information?

Any other “Secret Commands” to shine light on this issue? The SystemInfo contains this paragraph: ATTENTION:
