In our Company we use Rhino 7 on two PC with Zoo license server.
Our IT is supportet from a Systemoperator and the roaming profile under Windows is limited.
Rhino is using the folder:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\
How can we Change this Folder completely to
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\McNeel\Rhinoceros\
Hi, at this point it’s not possible to change the location of the user’s roaming profile to use the local profile instead. Can you tell me more about why you’ve locked down your user’s roaming profile?
Hi, we must use the konfiguration from out Systemhouse. And from there are the roaming profile ist fix limited. So the people how use rhino became a message from the windows logdown prozess, that the roaming profile can not be saved in the server, because the profile is to big.
The roaming profile ist saved on the server, so when se PC oder local drive is broken i take an new PC an the people can work again.
My idea: move the rhino profile from roaming to local. The workfiles from rhino are not in the roaming profile, but this file are directliy saved on the netwrok drive on our server.
When it is not possible to move the roaming profile from rhino to local, i will make an call or change in our systemhouse and hope that they can make an exeption for our rhino people.
Hi, unfortunately, Rhino doesn’t have a setting to change from Roaming to Local profile. Many of our customers that use roaming profiles have requested that user-specific data be stored in the roaming profile, so that they can move from computer to computer and keep that data. I know that the amount of data in the roaming profile can be large.
