I get this message when rendering:

Seems some files have moved…
You profile didn’t load and your web resources timed-out…
Keep files (the first at least) in a local drive or an ‘always available’ share that doesn’t depend on your profile updating files AND stay away from network www loading resources…
The material and environment library that is shipped with Rhino has all its textures hosted on the internet.
You can download all the textures in one go by using the Rhino command _DownloadLibraryTextures.

Video games caching textures understood this long ago 
But if your user profile is hosting those on a volatile platform (eg citrix), it can be an issue… We’ve had a few of those…
