Missing folder. Rhino WIP for Windows (7.0.18268.4155, 9/25/2018)

@brian
C:\Users… \AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0
Localization folder missing

edit: found it by opening New file. I repaired 7, downloaded again, uninstalled and re-installed; same.

Did you run after re-installing? Generally the localization folder is realized only on the first start. If you check right after installing the folder won’t exist. If it doesn’t exist after starting then I suppose we should poke @brian to see if this is something he is already aware of or not.

This might be the result of this bug: https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-47525

There should be some recent log files from Rhino trying to install the localization folder in C:\Users<you>\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\logs - they’re usually called “InstallPackagesForRhino…log”. Please send me the most recent few to me for inspection.

@Fred_C, you can copy&paste %APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\logs in the location bar of the file explorer to get there quickly.

Yes
I uninstalled 7 again this morning, re-downloaded and installed it again, to be sure it wasn’t a bad download. I ran it and immediately chose File>New. That defaults to the Desktop where there are no template files. I dismiss (cancel) that dialog and the WIP starts normally: I can create new objects, save the file and reopen it successfully as well as open older files created with previous WIP versions. log files attached as requested.
