Hi,
I’m very new to Rhino. I want to 3D Print a Camp Site for my thesis. Unfortunately the 3D_Model I have from the twnts are a sketch up fil which I can’t open in Rhino, because it’s to new.
So I went into Vectorworks, because that is the other CAD Programme I have on my computer and exported it into DWG. In Vectorworks the 3D Models have a surface, but as soon as I open them in Rhino I just get an open Mesh. I tried to convert the mesh to nurbs but I only get a non-manifold polysurface.
Do you guys have any idea how to fix this, or how to succesfully export the model from vectorworks to rhino and get surfaces, so I can 3D print?

No need to convert the mesh to a surface model for 3D printing. You just need to fix the mesh model so that it is closed, then export as .stl for printing. ShowEdges will show you where the open edges are.

why though.
just use Prusa slicer. holes don’t matter anymore. it’s the 21st century.
export .stl format, then print .stl in slicer.
sry I was repeating it.
