Hello
file must be named “CarvingBunny_Licence.gh”. But it needs a licence (evaluation licence could be send on request, see email on Food4Rhino)
But you can also replicate this with some Cellular noise.
mr @laurent_delrieu i ve been meaning to created a chiseled texture on a polysurface that later will be used for CNC , this is the result that i want to create but i tried your file here, i imported my polysurface and used mesh brep to turn in into a mesh and fed it into the script instead of the sphere , it is a closed polysurface , but the script freezes and id have to restart everytime , any insight? heres the polysurface file
Horn 2 15cm con huecos tornilllo.3dm (444.8 KB)
carving mesh with many spheres.gh (19.8 KB)
Ok ive exploded the polysurface to populate on it the points and then used the entire polysurface to perform the dendro boolean , since i figured it needs a closed brep for boolean and this is the weird result i keep getting , idk why??
Chisel.gh (71.5 KB)
Could you try this?
hi @laurent_delrieu but this is how it shows up for me when i try with a closed brep? it like a curve idk why it shows up like this?
Hahah omg sorry about that i used mesh close to close the mesh and it works just fine , one more thing @laurent_delrieu to get the chisels kinda vertical just like this , whats the optimal way to do that?as you can see not so many chisels (meaning not so many spheres) and have them be long and not so sphereical ,is it best to use the ellispoid version?
I think for your need you can use Brep and some ellipsoid or bended tubes.
chisel2 LD.gh (56.7 KB)
The idea is juts to make a bended tube using graph mapper
thank you so so much @laurent_delrieu as always you’re awesome!
@laurent_delrieu is there anyway to preserve the center part and not have it as “eaten” like that?
