Is there a reason why the Make2d viewport Rectangle is projected on a different plane than the drawing itself?
The results of Make2D are placed near the World coordinate origin on the World Top Cplane so they are easy to find.
You may select the resulting curves and use the RemapCplane command to put them wherever you want them.

Yes, the main geometry is as expected on the CPlane used to Make2d. However, you notice that the viewport rectangle is the only geometry created with Make2D that is not in that CPlane but in some unknown parallel CPlane. This “offset” it seems to be a bit random (see example below).
