MAKE2D objects to DWG not flat in AutoCAD

I’ve been running into problems with objects form the make2d command when exported to dwg format are not flat on the ground plane when opened in AutoCAD. The most frequent error message is that the objects are perpendicular to the UCS instead of parallel. I have to run the FLATTEN command in AutoCAD to put all points on the ground plane. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution?

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis - are the curves apparently in the top plane in Rhino?

-Pascal

In Rhino they appear to be on the plane that’s the Current View. I selected Current View in the Make2D command and the view was always one of the orthographic views (top, left, right, back)

Hi Dennis - try selecting them and RemapCPlane to Top, then export.

-Pascal

Thanks Pascal. I’ll give that a shot.
