Make 2d missing line on a particular object

I’m trying to extract a few drawing from a 3d model but the fences are always missing on the make2d. I have lower the tolerence until 0.1 but this won’t change anything. Weeks ago i made a few make 2d with the same fences and this was working completly fine.

Hi Patrick,

Can you post your file here or send to McNeel?

How far away from the origin (0,0,0) is the model? Do the Railings make 2D on their own? Are they radiused or square balusters?

yes i will send it right now. They are square you will see

Thanks a lot

The Balusters are actually circular. Not a big deal though, just computationally more intense.

I’m not having any issues.

Can you type SystemInfo into the command line and post the results here.

My system info

Lets eliminate the 3rd party variables first.

Go to file>properties>plugins and uncheck the Vray and Speckle. Restart Rhino and try the Make2d again.

i made a specific file to send it to you. It doesn’t work on the file i’m working on but it does on the one i sent to you. (even wihout turning of vray and speckle)

Interesting. Can you run SelBadObjects in the bad file. Are the tolerances or anything different? Lots of variables now, at least you have a way forward, but it would be nice to figure out why the particular file is failing. Can you send that one as well? Thanks.
