Linear Dimension is there, but can't see it!

I am trying to create linear dimensions on a model and they won’t show up on the screen. I cannot see them. I am in the correct construction plane. If I select all it says there is a dimension there, but…
Have tried to go through all the properties and nothing looks weird.

What working display mode are you using?
Do they show up in Wireframe?

You are right, dimensions were not checked in the display mode.
