Linear Dimension In Rhino 6 Working Differently

Hi,

In Rhino 5 I used to be able to dimension height in Perspective by picking two points and then switch to Right view and place a dimension.

In Rhino 6 I am restricted to selecting to points on the same plane even with the planar Onsnap turned off.

Is there any way to change this?
