Line tool and I can't see a preview of line

I’m not seeing anything wrong in that picture. I can’t tell which curves are present before running the Polyline command, and if those points are point objects or the points of a new curve being drawn.

Apart from that, please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

I see a preview of the line straight up and down the y axis. Do you have ortho on?
