Curves and polylines not showing in viewport

I’m using Rhino 8.9 on Parallels on a MacBook Pro. A fresh install and when I try to draw a curve, or a polyline, I can’t see it afterwards. I can select it and move it, but not see it.

As I draw a polyline, only the points appear, no connecting line.

Image attached shows a 3D shape and a polyline as I’m constructing it.

Note that running on Parallels is not supported, See Rhino - System Requirements
