LightScene difference between Viewer 2 and Viewer 3

Hi,
I noticed that in V2 and V3, the model looks differently, even with the exact same settings. And once I embed the model on my website, it is actually showing the same lighting as in V2. But now I mostly work on V3.
See the lighting difference below:

In this case, I can’t relay on what I see from V3 to make the lighting and environment settings, I need to either go back to change the settings on V3 again after I check the model on my website, or save the model on V3 and check it with V2.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to do this. And how long the Viewer 2 will be still accessible.
Thanks!

In viewer 3, the environment maps are taken into account for the lighting. Therefore when using the same settings in viewer 2 and viewer 3, it is likely that the model looks much brighter in version 3 if both an environment map and physical lights are used.

In your case, since you seem to still have the model embedded using the version 2 of the viewer, you can use the “V2” button in the edit mode to check your model in v2 and save settings there, so you can control exactly how the model looks like in version 2.

The version 2 of the viewer will always be available, but support and maintenance for this version will end at the end of 2022. We encourage our users to transition to using the version 3. You can read our migration guide here: Migration Guide
