Layer Panel Jumps Back to Top when Changing Layer Visibility

Hello - can you please try a test? Can you save a copy of the bad file, and verify that the problem exists there as well. Select all geometry and delete, save and see if the problem exists. If so can you share that empty-except-for-layers file with us privately ?

-Pascal

Oh my lord, I’ve recreated it… See if it happens for you by doing the following:

Start new file. Create 50 odd new layers. Scroll down to the bottom of the list so that a scroll bar appears (as below)…

Create Layout page and make it active. Now change the visiblity of layer ‘43’ (for example) by clicking the ‘light icon’ and tell me if that shoots your panel up forcing ‘43’ to the bottom of the view (as below)…

I realised that the glitch only kicks into gear once I’ve made a layout page active. That’s when it all goes to ****.

I pray it occurs for you also. Let me know, thanks!!

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
@devingrayart - sorry - this does not happen here. Can you humor me and try the exact same process but after blocking your third party plug-ins:

C:\Users\devin\AppData\Local\Programs\Enscape\Bin64\Enscape.Rhino7.Plugin.dll “Enscape.Rhino7.Plugin” 0.0.20335.757
C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins\Twinmotion Direct Link 2020.2 (e24ee14a-9514-47da-8fe6-f6e61b20160e)\Twinmotion Direct Link 2020.rhp “Twinmotion Direct Link 2020” 1.0.6.0

in Options > Plug-ins page, making sure only one Rhino is running, and then close and restart Rhino and try the layer-addition-layout process you described. Does it do the same thing? I want to make sure because that is the major difference that I can spot between your system and ours here.

Unbelievable haha… I’ll get my co-worker to give it a go.

Those plug-ins are still disabled from back when you initially suggested it.

Co-worker was able to replicate it right away.

Follow the link to see a video.

Hate to be naggy, but I would love for some users to try out the process demonstrated in my video. My co-worker and I can’t be the only people able to replicate the bug, surely!

This needs to get resolved! I cannot justify purchasing Rhino 7.

Hi @devingrayart,

I am able to reproduce the “jumping” issue you are seeing. Having a screen capture of your Rhino layout was really helpful. I’ve logged the issue.

Thanks for your help.

Amazing! Thank you, Dale.

Look forward to a resolution

RH-62456 is fixed in the latest Rhino 7 Service Release Candidate

Champions! My life is at least 20x better now. Thanks for the fix
