I use the control, alt, and shift keys in various combinations to achieve various things. For instance, control and shift to select a subD faces. Sometimes this seems to trigger some change in my keyboard and mouse settings. Suddenly, holding the right mouse button causes zooming. At worst, my escape key doesn’t even work the same way. It’s not my keyboard because I’ve had this issue with other keyboards. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?
Hi Sam -
I don’t think I’ve seen other reports of such behavior. It sounds like you have no reliable way of triggering it?

I can’t seem to get an exact way of triggering it that works every time. But in general it happens when I am holding control and shift and then left clicking multiple times to select things. Maybe after 3 or 4 clicks it happens. It’s almost like the control key is getting stuck. But it does this on all keyboards I use with the computer.
Thank you to responding to this most bizarre and mundane yet infuriating issue!
I’ve also assigned a keyboard shortcut of Alt+Shift+Cntrl+Up and it doesn’t seem to be working
Alt+shift cycles through keyboard layouts on windows, but shouldn’t be affecting the esc key.
Ctrl + RMB will zoom in/out, and one of the recent updates has introduced some lag to the modifier key inputs, so if you were just pressing ctrl to deselect something, and immediately try to rotate, it will zoom instead. It’s been irritating me for a while now.
I think perhaps this is on the right track, I wonder if there is a way to disable it…
