This script seems to work for the square plane but not the hexagonal plane when in theory both should work? I have set out an example in the file, not quite sure why, thanks

You have a trimmed surface input meshed by UV.
Turn on the preview and you’ll see this is your mesh.
This results in the corners not coinciding with mesh vertices, so your anchors are not connected.
Also - your file uses a very old version of Kangaroo. I’d recommend starting with the new one.
