Issues with extruding a living hinge pattern

I’m having this issue where everything extrudes properly on this living hinge pattern except for anything that touches the edge of the perimeter, which extrudes as solid. I’ve checked everything and for some reason, the left and right sides (the triangle shapes) are open curves and will not join (the join command gives me “unable to join curves” as a response). Even though the bottom and top half-diamonds are not extruding properly either, they are considered closed when I use the SelClosedCrv command. I’ve checked multiple times and everything looks like it’s connected and touching, there is no overhang anywhere to the outside of the perimeter. The outside perimeter is joined together.
I included photos of the extrusion, and what is selected when I use the SelClosedCrv command on the non-extruded pattern. Just to clarify, the triangular and diamond shapes should not be solid.

Edit: After coming back to it, for some reason it’s gone back to not extruding as solid anywhere except the edges/outlines, and now before I extrude I get this as an error message:

The _SelSelfIntersectingCrv command should show you which curves are self-intersecting.

I don’t have any other suggestions - difficult to tell what’s wrong from screen captures. You are much more likely to get meaningful help if you upload a file.

Hi @Paige_Hensley,

You don’t want the lines across the ends of the triangles: remove all of them and your extrusion should go better.

You may then find issues with the edge diamonds where the sides and the boundary come together at a point. Fingers crossed not.

p.s. As Kevin says, it is much better to post a model than screenshots!
