Is Rhino working on Native Apple Silicon version of Rhino?

I find there are so many bugs when using Rhino 7 on the M1 processor, constantly having to reset views due to freezing and other buggy issues that stall productivity.

Rhino will blame Rosetta and Rosetta will blame Rhino code - when can we expect a native version?

Rhino 7 was developed for the Intel CPU.
V7 relies on Apple’s “Rosetta” translation layer which leaves a lot to be desired.

Rhino V8 will be the first version that runs natively on Silicon processors, and using the new Metal display tools.

Is there a trial/ test version of Rhino_v8 I saw it mentioned somewhere but I can never find the download link?

This might help:

There is the Work-In-Progress, open to anyone that owns a purchased V7 license.
It’s on the Download page.

My best seat of the pants guess is V8 will be released late this year, unless we run into unexpected development problems

and using the new Metal display tools.

Just a note. Metal was released in 2014. One year before the first version of Rhino for Mac. Apple deprecated OpenGL 4 years later, in 2018… I wouldn’t call Metal new…
