I am using the car icons from the standard tool range to quickly change between views.
When I am changing from Perspective to any other view, the CPlane gets changed to the appropriate orientation. However, when changing back to Perspective, the CPlane remains in that position, and I have to correct it to WorldTop again.
Everything works as expected when double-clicking the view labels, but not with these icons:
Hello- this has always been the case - at least for 3 or 4 versions - Perspective is not associated with a CPlane. You can modify the macro in the button if you really always want to set Top with Perspective
Thanks for your reply Pascal. I have upgraded my ancient version 5 to version 8 just a week ago. It is a bit of a learning curve, but hey.
I do have my version 5 still available on my older Mac, so I started it up to check how it worked then. I now see that I did use the bar directly above the viewport to change between views, and the CPlane changes correctly with those, including World Top with the perspective view.
I realize now that I did not use the icons at all, amazing how you forget things so fast. In fact, in V5. the CPlanes do not change at all when using the icons!
Right, so I am going to customize the macro as you suggested, but also that changed in V8, and there is no longer a “Commands” menu.
Can you give me a push in the right direction?
