Added note 6/27/2024 I find that the zooming doesn’t stop, but becomes very very little at a time. The visual effect is that zoom doesn’t work. It is worse if you select the vertical element in the view. It extends the farthest beyond the visible region. Hope this helps.
I’ve had this problem before. When I select some object, I cannot zoom until I de-select the object. Until now I couldn’t isolate it enough. But in this simple file, in perspective view, if I select an object that goes beyond the viewport, I can’t zoom. If I select an object contained wholly within view, I can zoom. It’s a bit maddening. Hope somebody can fix this. I never had this issue with Rhino7 as far as I can remember. Here’s a pic of how the viewport should look when you open the file.
