Unable to zoom - no objects are selected. Rhino 8 bug

Hi, I am having a problem in which I have selected geometry, yet am unable to see it or use ZE or ZS to zoom onto the geometry. I am getting the following error: Unable to zoom - no objects are selected. I have seen this is some very old forums but have not found a solution. I was using version 8.13.24289.13001, uninstalled, and installed the 8.12 version below, but the issue persisted.

I also saved as Rhino7 and the issue persisted.

My camera and target values seem to be acting up as well, and I cannot reset them.

I found the following forums but was unable to find a solution.

Since you are using a very recent version of Rhino 8 you might gain some benefit from updating both your 11/13/23 Intel and 6/25/24 Nvidia video drivers.

You can also try resetting the viewports by running the _4view command twice. I recall Pascal proposing this when he suspected viewport corruption had scrambled camera and target positions.

I’m having the exact same problem. The _4view helped.
