Import Leica *.lgs pointcloud file

Hi Forum,

I have a massive pointcloud data file (*.lgs) from a Leica terestric 3D scanner. I can view the file in jetstream, however I did not find a solution to get the points into Rhino … Has anyone an Idea?

Hi Andreas - points should come into Rhino OK via iges. Have you found they do not?

Sorry it isn’t an iges file, it’s an LGS file ( looks similar - isn’t )

Hi Andreas - from what I could find, LGS isn’t an open file format and you will be needing a Leica product to export the cloud into a format (such as e57 or xyz) that can be read by other software.
